Successful assembly of the first transformer for China’s first clean energy transmission ultra-high voltage corridor (Qinghai side)

It is understood that, under normal circumstances, the transformer are required in the manufacturing plant to complete the body assembly and then transported to the substation, China’s domestic converter manufacturers are mainly concentrated in the Middle East, and high-end converter transformer body size and weight is too large to meet the conventional circumstances of the railroad transportation requirements, and long-distance transport of converter transformers through the highway there are bridges loading, toll station barriers and other multiple transportation obstacles.
China’s first domestic UHV converter site from the project converter station about 190 kilometers, along the highway can meet the converter overall transportation requirements.
